First Coast Consortium
Welcome to the First Coast Consortium Page

Is your organization interested in the future of Northeast Florida for the next 50 years?  If so, you have come to the right place!

First Coast Consortium members use their experiences and expertise to help the region to formulate and achieve its goals.

Established in 2010 as part of efforts to bring a US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant to Northeast Florida, the First Coast Consortium has provided input into First Coast Vision, our vision for growth and development in the seven county Northeast Florida region for the next 50 years.   The Northeast Florida Regional Council is the lead agency in this effort.

While we have not yet received funding, our efforts are not just about the grant, and Consortium members are asked to provide their unique perspectives as we proceed with creating a regional plan, regardless of funding.  If you join the Consortium, you must be willing to assist by providing some time and input.  We also ask that you consider the programs that your organization manages, in case any can be considered as a match or leverage when applying for grants.

Want a seat at the regional planning table?  Become a member of the First Coast Consortium.   Provide us with a signed memorandum of understanding, and with the answers to the member questions.    These can be e-mailed to mmoehring@nefrc.org.  A hard copy of the MOU is also required.
